The Theatre Royal Stratford East is set to showcase a play called “Tambo & Bone,” crafted by and for the Black community. As part of its run, the [Lottery funded] theatre is organising a ‘Black Out’ evening, which intentionally excludes White People. This decision has faced criticism in the media. Nonetheless, Nancy Durrant, the Culture Editor at the Evening Standard, has come to the defence of this initiative. ES Article
In a bid to delve deeper into the matter, we have scrutinized the Twitter account of the playwright, Dave Harris, and uncovered numerous tweets that express antagonism towards White individuals. One tweet even appears to endorse the idea of “White Genocide.”
It’s worth noting that if a White writer were to make similar comments about Black individuals, they would be strongly condemned and likely barred from having their plays staged in any British theatre. The Far Left might also take to protesting outside such productions.
Should Nancy Durrant or any of her artistic acquaintances choose to attend this play, it is advisable to remind them to freshen up before going, as indicated by another tweet from Dave Harris, where he seems to suggest that White people do not prioritise personal hygiene.
